Tony
Christie
Thanks to Peter Kay, who used Is this the way to Amarillo in Phoenix Nights
and for a Comic Relief sketch, Tony Christie has been introduced to a whole
new audience more than 30 years after Amarillo was first released. He has also
been asked to record the theme tune to Peter's new spin off series Max & Paddy.
The single and his greatest hits album both went to number one, he's
been offered a role in Emmerdale and his first UK tours for 20 years
promise to rekindle the reactions from his early 1970s heyday. A good
year for Tony Christie - come and hear him live. |
